                               CAPITAL CAMPAIGN CORNER

                                      “Building Community”

WE NEED YOU TO REACH OUR GOALS!

Please take a moment to visit the Capital Campaign display in the foyer of Church for updates and designated donation opportunities. Thank you for your support! Our next collection weekend is Sat,
Jul 5 & Sun, Jul 6
.

Thank you to the following for sponsoring designated donations to support our Capital Campaign:

Fernando & Annie Moreno (five chairs) in honor of their children: Sons - Michael Fernando, Luis Anthony & George Stephen; Daughters - Elizabeth Ann & Catherine Rose

An update on the new property: we have received the permit from TXDOT for the entry way into the property and all the specifications that need to be followed when widening the drive way. Also we’ve received from SAWS the letter of certification for the water line.  The utilities (water, sewer, electricity) are very complicated procedures and require much time.  We are working with our engineer who is doing the leg work for us and he is making sure all the paper work necessary is submitted to the proper authorities. We’ve started to submit our monthly payment to the bank since May.  Our monthly payment is $3,535.

I thank our parishioners for their generosity through the monthly capital campaign donations.  God bless you all.  Fr. Carlos

HAVE YOU MET ST. RAFAEL GUIZAR?
St.   Rafael (1878-1938) was a heroic figure.  Stories of his underground work during the persecution of Catholics in Mexico are exciting and inspirational.   He founded a clandestine seminary and became known as “the bishop of the poor.”  He served in our own Archdiocese of San Antonio and is known and loved by many here.  Some who promoted his cause for sainthood will be visiting our parish family during July.  We’ll have a special display in the Church to learn more about the saint and will also have an opportunity to visit with St. Rafael’s relatives.  Join us for prayer, some amazing accounts of St. Rafael’s life and more Mon, Jul 14, 7pm, Parish Hall
