LIFE TEEN: Gather * Proclaim * Break * Send

OLG Life Teen

Let us tell you about our awesome youth ministry program here at OLG called Life Teen.

A teenager’s faith journey during the high school years is not easy. OLG Life Teen is designed to create a place where teens can support each other and grow in faith and friendship while learning how to apply Catholic values and beliefs into their daily life. OLG Life Teen also sponsors many social activities so teens can start to meet others whose Catholic faith is important to them. Life Teen is a comprehensive youth ministry program, meaning, it focuses on a holistic approach by reaching high school teens on all levels: emotional, intellectual, spiritual and relational. Life Teen is also a non-classroom model that engages and evangelizes teens in a relevant and dynamic way. In short, it absolutely rocks…

Our Mission Statement: Our Lady of Guadalupe Parish invites teens to establish a personal and dynamic relationship with Jesus Christ and His Church. We strive to lead teens closer to Christ by engaging them in a vibrant Eucharistic spirituality and by offering a variety of opportunities for teens to grow in their faith. OLG Life Teen attracts teens by two major components: TRUTH and EXPERIENCE. OLG Life Teen proclaims and teaches the truth of Jesus Christ, who is the Way, the Truth, and the Life. Teens experience the power and love of Christ in the Eucharist, the Word of God, and in each other. OLG Life Teen is a comprehensive youth ministry program that provides excellent catechesis with the goal of understanding for conversion.

Life Teen Mass
Here at OLG, the Sunday 5pm Mass is our Life Teen Mass, teens and their families experience the depths of God's love through the Word of God, the Eucharist and the Community. Relevant preaching and quality music brings the Catholic Mass to life.

Life Night
Following the Life Teen Mass, the youth minister and Core members lead the teens deeper into their Catholic faith in the Life Night experience. As a faith community, the teens grow in understanding of what it means to be young and Catholic in the new millennium. The teens are affirmed, educated, and challenged to live the Gospel.
