Preparing the Way at OLG-Helotes

 

PILGRIM REGISTRATION Thanks for registering as soon as possible! This helps us plan to meet your needs, especially for meals. Pilgrim t-shirts will be available for $5.


VOLUNTEER REGISTRATION  There are many ways to help and enjoy participating in this annual celebration!  Please, sign-up in the back of church.  We need help with hospitality, including setup, food preparation and clean up, for both the morning and evening meals for pilgrims. 


TUE, DEC 1, 7PM  CAR SUPPORT DRIVER MEETING  We especially need drivers to assist pilgrims along the way. Join us for an important meeting to discuss pilgrim routes, rest stops and more. Please, sign-up in the back of church.

 

THUR, DEC 3 - THUR, DEC 10, 8PM & FRI, DEC 11, 7PM NOVENA  Join us for 9 nights of prayer (Spanish).  On Thur, Dec 3 through Fri, Dec 10, we'll be in the Chapel. Fri, Dec 11, we begin at 7pm in the Pavilion.

 

The Vigil at OLG-Helotes  Fri, Dec 11

 

GUADALUPE ROSARY 7PM   Join us in the Pavilion for a rosary in Spanish with mysteries based on the apparitions.


DRAMATIZATION OF THE APPARITIONS 8:30PM Join us for a beautiful re-enactment of the apparitions in Spanish on the field next to the priests' residence.


SERENADE TO OUR LADY OF GUADALUPE 10:30PM Join us to enjoy live music!

"LAS MAÑANITAS" WITH MARIACHIS IN HONOR OF OUR LADY OF GUADALUPE 6AM

Enjoy the Mariachis in the Church.

 

MASS 7AM in the Church  Aztec Dancers will participate in the celebration of this bilingual Mass.

PILGRIMAGE FROM OLG-SAN ANTONIO TO OLG-HELOTES 10AM  Pilgrims travel from Our Lady of Guadalupe Church in San Antonio to Our Lady of Guadalupe Church in Helotes!


THROUGHOUT THE DAY   Stop by Our Lady of Guadalupe Church in Helotes anytime during the day for private prayer. See our beautiful Hill of Tepeyac in the Church. If you can't physically join the pilgrimage, make a pilgrimage of the heart and offer your prayers together with those of the walking pilgrims.

 

The Evening at OLG-Helotes  Sat, Dec 12


DINNER 4PM-6:30PM  Enjoy food and fellowship with old and new friends from both parish communities.

 

MASS 7PM-8PM  Solemn Mass presided by Archbishop of San Antonio Jose H. Gomez.

Concelebrants: Fathers Ron Gonzalez, SJ, Marty Elsner, SJ, and Jim Marshall, SJ from OLG-San Antonio and our very own Fathers Carlos Davalos, Clay Hunt and Cesar Betancourt of OLG-Helotes.
